How Codex Reset Radar estimates reset windows
We separate direct reset signals, product-release context, social chatter, and cooldown state so the homepage can answer “will Codex reset today?” without pretending to know your private account state.
This is an unofficial tracker. It is not affiliated with OpenAI. Codex is a product/trademark of OpenAI. Probability scores are public-signal heuristics, not authoritative announcements or certainty.
Signal tier 1: direct reset signal
Public OpenAI/Codex-related posts or status context that explicitly mention resetting Codex usage limits. These can move the radar into a fresh reset posture, but still require UI verification.
Signal tier 2: product release context
Launches, milestones, or Codex product updates can explain momentum. They are context unless they explicitly mention quota or rate-limit resets.
Signal tier 3: social chatter
Reddit, community threads, and screenshots can show user pain or rollout lag, but they need confirmation before changing the main reset posture.
Cooldown state
After a completed reset, the homepage shifts from fresh signal to cooldown context. That keeps historical evidence visible without telling users to expect another immediate reset.
What we do not have
- No OpenAI systems access.
- No API keys, cookies, account tokens, or private quota information.
- No certainty that a reported reset applies to your plan, region, or account.
Confidence labels
High means public primary evidence. Medium means repeated community confirmations. Low means anecdotal or early reports that need verification.
